The Dabie Mountains Geological Museum
The Dabie Mountains Geological Museum is situated in the main park of Anhui Dabie Mountains (Lu’an) National Geological Parks------ Tiantangzhai scenic spot. It covers an area of 6667 square meters, with a building area of 3000 square meters. It was officially open to visitors on 16, May, 2007. The museum has three floors. The first floor is the comprehensive service area, the second floor is the main exhibition area of the geological museum, the third floor is the red tourism souvenir area. The main exhibition area includes sand table showcase, rock mineral specimens display area, animal and plant specimens display area, ecological park area, souvenir area, and auditoriums.
The museum is a large-scale geological museum in East China. It has a complete collection of all the representative rock (ore) material specimens and many precious plant and animal specimens. It is an ideal place for travelers to learn scientific knowledge and to feel the splendor of geological landscapes.
